At NXNE on Saturday June 10 in Toronto, Plumtree announced their breakup. After releasing three records, winning a YTV award and being one of the forefront girl independent bands in Canada for many years, plumtree are moving on.

Plumtree play their last show on Friday June 30th 2000 at Midnight in the Marquee in Halifax. In a statement Carla said " We appreciate all the support we've received from everybody "

Catriona is moving to Japan, Amanda is moving to Toronto, and Lynette is moving to new york, while Carla is staying in Halifax to pursue a solo career.

The breakup was amicable and we all wish the girls the best of luck in the future.
